Compass – Finances God’s Way

Compass – Finances God’s Way is a ministry that’s dedicated to teaching people God’s way of handling money. I founded Compass in 2009, but I’ve been involved in this type of teaching ministry for over 30 years and even did some radio work a few years earlier.

I knew the power of radio to connect with a lot of people and share your message on a national platform, so I decided to contact Rich at Creative Genius Productions and see about launching a new one minute daily feature in which I could talk about financial principles in bite sized pieces. We incorporated some of what I was already teaching, but also – at CGP’s suggestion – brought in a Q&A aspect by answering listener emails on a variety of financial topics. This feature is called HeyHoward and it’s being carried by over 1100 stations and outlets.

In early 2011, we were given the opportunity to launch a daily call-in program. Unfortunately, that window of opportunity was really small. We needed to make a commitment quickly. Again I called on Rich at Creative Genius to help assess what it would take to get a national program launched in what amounted to about a month. He not only helped with the format of the program, but also added phone lines at the studio and came up with systems that would allow us to do a daily call-in show that isn’t actually done live. It’s pre-recorded, but it really works effectively!

Within a week of launching the MoneyWise program, I moved from Georgia to Florida. Meanwhile, my co-host, Steve Moore, and the Creative Genius Productions studios were still in Georgia. So they set up a mini-studio in my house with a digital connection to Creative Genius so that I can record live from home and it sounds like we’re all in the same room.

We record a week of MoneyWise programs at one time. Creative Genius handles call screening and scheduling which is no small task, and working with the CGP crew on recording days is like having a safety net under us: we do occasionally misspeak or stumble, and sometimes the way we say something isn’t as clear as we thought it was, but they catch all that and clean us up so we sound great!

The way you say something and how you package your message is as important as the words you choose, and the Creative Genius team specializes in fine turning the entire presentation so you and your message sound great, and connect with your targeted audience. MoneyWise now airs on more than 850 stations and outlets and that’s thanks, in part, to the quality of the program put out by Creative Genius Productions. I’m happy to give them the highest recommendation possible.

License to Parent

Before bringing Rich Roszel and Creative Genius Productions on board to produce and co-host the License to Parent radio broadcast, we were not even close to being “ready for prime time.” Rich and his team helped the License to Parent broadcast become something worth listening to. Since contracting with Creative Genius Productions, everyone I’ve encountered in the radio industry that has heard the broadcast has offered the highest praise for the content, while raving about the production quality. Quality production being indisputable, Rich has also taught me infinitely more about delivering our content than I could have imagined. It is obvious to me that this is a calling and a passion that he has devoted his life to fulfill. Rich and CGP go the extra mile to see that things are done with excellence.

I’m also impressed with the loyalty with which his company operates. I’ve often felt as if the License to Parent broadcast was his only obligation, as Rich has always made me, personally, feel more like a partner and friend as opposed to a mere client. When interviewing high-level guests for the program, I sense that they, and our listeners, feel the same. From my perspective, there isn’t a broadcast production on the planet that wouldn’t be better off with Creative Genius Productions on their team.

World News Group

Rich Roszel and the team at Creative Genius Productions have helped us launch three broadcasts at World News Group. The first was the weekend flagship news magazine, The World and Everything In It. It was an amazing undertaking because we had worked in print for close to 30 years but, as an organization, we didn’t yet have what it would take to do radio on a scale of this magnitude. CGP showed us that by letting them get us launched technically, we could focus on what was most important to us: providing the content.

The World and Everything In It launched as a two-hour weekly news magazine with stories and sound and commentary — all from a Biblical Worldview. A recurring compliment from our listeners was for the excellent music selections used to weave together the program elements. That thanks goes to Creative Genius Productions and their “music maven,” Brandy. She was able to blend the right amount of jazz, quirkiness, and cool to make it excellent.

It didn’t take long to draw up plans for a daily version of the program, so a couple of years into the project, we began looking to hire our own production staff to handle those regular tasks. CGP was fine with this. In fact, they launched the daily program and produced it for the first couple of months, and even went so far as to provide segment templates and settings to our new team so that the quality could continue. Meanwhile, CGP continued to produce the weekend program for us.

One of our writers and commentators is Warren Cole Smith. Warren seems to know everyone and presented the idea of doing extended conversations with news makers and thought leaders. We brought Rich in on the planning and shortly thereafter launched Warren’s program, Listening In, which GCP produces to this day.

We are very pleased we chose to work with Rich and CGP and will continue to do so as long as they let us.

Studio North

I have been working with Rich Roszel and Creative Genius Productions on a countless number of audio projects for many years now. This guy is awesome! No matter what type of content we’ve thrown at him over the years, he nails it! Whether it’s an incredibly complex medical narration, a war-era news reel announcer, or anything in between, Rich delivers his lines smoothly and really brings a sense of credibility to the content. Rich is always efficient with his edits and cleanup, having files to me before I even have a chance to wonder how things are progressing. In addition to his first-class voice talent and production services, Rich is incredibly personable and an absolute joy to work with. I would absolutely recommend Rich and CGP to anyone looking for not only a great product, but a great experience.
